
What is it?

Welcome to the first ever AC Leadership Summit!
This new initiative of Apologetics Canada seeks to bring together aspiring Christian leaders from across the West Coast, for an incredible weekend to empower, equip, and engage. This is an opportunity for young professionals aged 20-27† to meet one another and grow together as Christian leaders. Topics include:
- What does it mean to be an influential leader?
- Why is leadership accountability so important?
- The myth of self-reliance
- The problem with social media leadership
- When leadership fails you
- Weathering the storms of life as a leader
- Every good leader is a great student
Join us in the beauty of BC’s coastal mountains where you can enjoy fellowship, growth, and a variety of snow activities from skiing, sledding, to snowshoeing at Sasquatch Mountain Resort.

Speakers

Andy Steiger, PhD
Andy is the founder and president of Apologetics Canada, an organization dedicated to equipping the Christian community with a biblically sound, intellectually robust, and culturally engaged faith.
Most recently, he wrote the book Reclaimed: How Jesus Restores Our Humanity in a Dehumanized World. This book was preceded by The Human Project video series. In 2018, The Human Project debuted at film festivals around the world and won a number of awards including Best Short Film and People's Choice. He also created and hosted The Thinking Series and is the author of Thinking? Answering Life’s Five Biggest Questions. Andy speaks on these topics internationally at universities, conferences, churches, prisons and coffee shops. He has earned a PhD at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Andy is originally from Portland, Oregon and currently lives in Abbotsford, British Columbia with his wife, Nancy, and their boys.

Troy Lydiate
Troy Lydiate is a Jamaican-born recording artist (Scribe Music), speaker and mentor. With a BA in Social Sciences from Providence University, his professional background is Youth Support Working and thus, naturally finds himself working with youth, young adults and college ages in ministry. Troy is working as the Creative Director and oversees Youth Engagement with Apologetics Canada. He can also be heard weekly as one of the hosts of the AC Podcast. Troy has a background of speaking at conferences, concerts and schools as well as preaching, teaching and leading worship at ministerial events. He is currently serving in leadership at his local church in the Greater Vancouver area alongside his wife and two children.

Accommodation
This year's AC Leadership Summit will take place at the Green Giant Cabin, a 7,600-square-foot luxury ski-in ski-out mountain retreat that has everything you need to make you feel at home in the beautiful Sasquatch Mountains of British Columbia.
This cabin is a duplex. The women and men will have separate sleeping quarters. All meals and activities will take place in the main living area. Along with accommodation, all meals are provided by Apologetics Canada. Lift tickets may be purchased at your own expense.
Features and amenities you will find during your stay include:
- two hot tubs
- two infrared saunas
- two games/media rooms with foosball and air hockey
- two heated ski lockers with dehumidifier
- two heated patios
- a selection of board games, puzzles, and books

The AC Leadership Summit is a targeted opportunity for growth. It is specifically meant to train, equip, and encourage young Christian professionals and leaders between the ages of 20 and 27. As such, in order to join us for the Leadership Summit, an application process is required.

Please Note: Any and all information Apologetics Canada gathers from you through the application form below is solely for the internal use of Apologetics Canada for the purpose of the AC Leadership Summit. The information will be kept strictly confidential and NOT be given out to a third party without your written consent, unless required by law. Please remember the following:
- Space is limited. We will accept 12 males and 12 females out of the pool of applicants.
- Application deadline is January 4, 2022.
- An interview with an Apologetics Canada staff member may be required.
- If your application process is successful and you are officially invited to the AC Leadership Summit, there will be a fee of $50 to attend. Although this event is heavily subsidized by a private donor, if you are not able to make the $50 payment, you can request further financial assistance.
