Emily Pelley

Emily Pelley, PhD, is a published author, homeschooler, researcher, and public speaker. She lives in Nova Scotia with her husband and three young children. Emily is the founder and publisher of Morning Dove Press - a Christian publishing company based in Nova Scotia, Canada. She has worked as a professor with the Canadian Defence Academy as well as Saint Mary’s University. She earned her Ph.D. from Dalhousie University where she studied how to best support the resettlement and integration of newcomer youth. Emily’s most recent book was Finding Safe Harbour, which focused on Atlantic Canada and their collective response to refugee young people. She is also the community director in Halifax for Classical Conversations Canada which is a growing homeschool community group. Emily is a passionate advocate for young people and has been involved in many programs and initiatives both at home and abroad.
