It seems intuitive that one born and raised in Saudi Arabia would likely be Muslim and one born and raised in India would likely be a Hindu, probably because an average child grows up being taught the religious views of the parents. Some call this indoctrination and would go so far as to say that, without indoctrination, religion would simply go away due to the absurdities inherent in religion. How does this "indoctrination hypothesis" stand up to scrutiny?
