If God is Good, Why...?

On this week's episode of the AC Podcast, Troy pulls in Andy and Wes to answer a series of questions Troy received via a friend. Why does God allow evil? Why hell? While these questions are not new apologetic topics it’s important to revisit them due to how frequently they’re brought up — both by Christians and non Christians alike.Tune into this week's episode to hear the AC team's responses.

  1. Hello, I am the friend of a friend who had the questions and unfortunately… I have more. Is there anyway I could get in contact with somebody on the podcast? I’d love to discuss and delve into some of the ideas presented.

    1. Human intellect is hopelessly corrupt and often leads to rebellion, pride, arrogance, etc..until He returns and we are changed. Until then it is that battle ground and we are to take our thoughts captive to His truth not let them run wild. Not every question will be answered by Him but we are to trust Him and wait on Him. Remember it’s The fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that brought death to humanity. That condition will not be rectified before God’s plan is finished and this world ends.

  2. If we want to pleas God first we must believe He exists. Then we need to believe He is just and good. He is the one being in the entire universe that we can trust. His ways are far, far above our ways and we are stupid and arrogant to think we can fathom his plans. In Isiah 54 He explains as much as we can understand that He created the destroyer to bring about the destruction that must happen to ultimately free humanity from the clutches of the evil we invited and invite in. Human beings and fallen spirits are responsible for evil, not God. He knew all that would happen before He ever created us and still did create us because He knows the end and the beginning. There must be something fabulous to merit all of this. Trust God and resist the devil and he will flee from you. Trust God like all of the other imperfect humans before us who did please Him.
